RANDLEMAN, N.C. -- Food trucks from across the state are competing for the annual North Carolina Food Truck Competition.

  • This year's competition welcomes almost 24 trucks
  • Trucks will compete for a cash prize of over $1,000
  • The competition wraps up tonight with the awards presentation at 6:30 p.m.

This year's competition welcomes almost 24 trucks serving everything from shrimp, burgers, funnel cake and Italian ice.

Trucks will compete for a cash prize of over $1,000 and bragging rights as state champion.

City leaders also say it's a win for Randleman.

"It's very important to the community," said Randleman City Manager Zack Hewitt. "It draws about two to three thousand visitors each year to our downtown."

The competition wraps up tonight with the awards presentation at 6:30 p.m.
