GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro police arrested a woman after they say she hit a pedestrian and ran into a Waffle House restaurant.  

  • Kaitlyn Kennedy is charged with DWI after hitting a pedestrian and crashing into a Waffle House.
  • The pedestrian is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
  • The Waffle House has been condemned until it is repaired. 

Police say Kaitlyn Kennedy was intoxicated when she struck Derrick Anderson in a crosswalk, then jumped a median and crashed into the Waffle House on Big Tree Way last night.   

Anderson was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Waffle House was deemed condemned until repairs are made.

Kennedy is charged with DWI, careless and reckless driving, and driving while license revoked.
