REIDSVILLE, N.C. -- A Rockingham County town claims to be the center of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

NCAA data shows Reidsville is actually the geographic center of the conference.

Brooklyn is this year's host at more than 425 miles away from Reidsville with the most logical location being in Raleigh at 73 miles away.

But people in Reidsville say Greensboro will always be "tournament town."

"With the ACC being headquartered there [Greensboro] and being such a staple in that community for so long, little ol’ Reidsville just a few miles north happens to be the geographic heart of the Atlantic Coast Conference and something we can all be proud of,” said Jeff Garstka, the City of Reidsville's economic development director.

This year's ACC Tournament is in New York, but it returns to North Carolina next year in Charlotte, then to Greensboro in 2020.

But you can see big dance action soon! The first two rounds NCAA games play out in the Queen City on March 16 and 18.
