Cool Canadian high pressure is building into the region following yesterday's rainy Wednesday. Speaking of that rain yesterday, some areas did indeed receive over 1" of rain, including 1.09" in Greensboro and 1.22" in Winston-Salem.

Sunshine will be with us in abundance today and Friday. Highs today will top out in the mid to upper 40s with 50s Friday. Lows will drop below freezing tonight.

A wet weekend is still on tap with waves of rain looking likely at times anywhere from Friday night through Sunday. It will not rain all weekend, but certainly we are fair game for some rain at any juncture.
