STOKES COUNTY, N.C. -- Over 200 personnel were involved in putting out a fire at a lumber mill in Stokes County Saturday afternoon.

Crews from more than 20 fire departments including Rockingham, Stokes, Forsyth and Surry Counties responded to the blaze that started around 1 yesterday.

Crews had some difficulty getting resources to the scene so the Red Cross and even some of the firefighters' wives were on the scene helping out any way they could.

No injuries were reported and no word yet on what caused the fire.
