HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Big changes are happening in High Point.

On the corner of Church Avenue and Elm Street, a baseball stadium, children's museum and more are beginning to form.

High Point University's President Nido Qubein, one of the key fundraisers for the project, said the goal is to bring people, young and old, to High Point.

"By having this baseball stadium, really multipurpose stadium, and by having the events center and the children's museum and the hotel and the apartments around we want [to see] this city to get re-engaged," said Qubein.

The stadium should open in time for the start of the 2019 season and the museum by 2020.
