DAVIDSON COUNTY -- Neighbors in a Davidson County community have been complaining about an abandoned property. Over the years, people who live in Linwood say they’ve seen people illegally using the property on Haden Grove Church Road as a dump site.

The county says its been difficult to determine who owns the property. Now, the county is selling it.

"Whoever ends up with the property we're going to notice him with a NOV, what we call a notice of violation letter,” explains planning director, Guy Cornman. “Just so the new owner will understand that they are going to be responsible for cleaning the property up."

Anyone who buys it would have to pay back taxes and they'd have 30 days to clean up the property.
