NORTH CAROLINA -- A new lottery game's hook is you could win up to $100,000 in five minutes. The state's Education Lottery rolled out Carolina Keno in October.

A Forsyth County business that opened just weeks before the game released says it's seen a shift from people coming in out of curiosity about the new business to people coming in to play.

"People were coming in checking out what it was because it used to be numerous things,” says Cynthia Cecile, store owner of Cecile’s Store. “I guess whenever the Keno came, opening day of Keno, we had the promotion of it after it started and it done really good."

You can only play Keno in places that serve food and drinks like restaurants, bars and bowling alleys. North Carolina is among 20 states that offer the game. There are close to 700 locations statewide.
