GEORGETOWN, Texas — Newly released court documents detail shocking discoveries made by a Texas Ranger investigating Greg Kelley, the young man seeking a new trial for a 2013 child molestation case.
After search warrants focusing on Kelley's internet and phone activity were issued, Ranger Cody Mitchell found Kelley first started looking at pornography around the same time he was accused of sexually assaulting the young boy.
Mitchell says the visits to porn sites increased, amounting to a possible addiction, and continued even after Kelley was arrested.
According to the affidavit, Kelley also frequented Adult Friend Finders.com — a website for adults looking for casual sex as he awaited trial.
Phone records show deleted messages that indicate Kelley was meeting with strangers in secrecy.
Mitchell also said Kelley texted about a selfie he had taken with the 3-year-old boy.
The ranger says all the newly discovered information contradicts what Kelley told him in previous interviews.
A hearing to decide whether Kelley will get a new trial took place this month shortly after two other suspects were identified.
We're still waiting on the judge’s decision.
