MEBANE, N.C. – A Colorado company is moving its worldwide headquarters to Durham and expanding its Mebane operation with hundreds of jobs.

Prescient, which builds multifamily homes and other things like dormitories, is adding 200 jobs to its 60 positions already in Mebane.

The second part of the announcement was the decision to move Prescient's world headquarters from Denver to Durham.

Company officials say the area is a great location because of the interstates, airports and strong workforce they're going to be able to hire.

The open positions are designers, architects, installers, project managers and others.

With the new workforce at its Mebane facility, the company will be producing products for projects up and down the East Coast.

Prescient executives say they want to work with Alamance Community College to offer specific courses to keep students in the area and working.
