CHARLOTTE -- As police continue to investigate the death of a well-known barber,  a memorial begins to grow at No Grease Barbershop.

David Lindsay was found dead in a car in east Charlotte Tuesday night, and at this point, no one has been arrested and police haven't released many details about the case.

The owner of the barbershop says the last time they saw him he was at work, cutting his father's hair and he'll be remembered fondly.

"A young lady came by yesterday just to leave him a card, because he came by her dance recital yesterday and she came by to tell him thank you no knowing he had passed," said Damien Johnson, owner of No Grease.

Lindsay worked at the barbershop for twelve years.

His mother says he would offer haircuts to homeless people he saw outside at no cost.
