SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are investigating a reported sexual assault of a child that occurred Thursday morning behind Ed White Middle School.
The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 16 and 22 years old.
The San Antonio Police Department said the victim was was snatched up from a VIA bus stop directly in front of Ed White Middle School. The suspect pulled a gun and then he forced the girl into a wooded area near the school.
The suspect ran off through the woods and EMS transported the victim to the hospital.
Sherika Strother lives in the same Northeast Side neighborhood. The 26-year-old woman is concerned that a sexual predator attacked a young girl, so close to home.
“This is a little girl that's in front of a school. If nobody can see something like that," said Strother.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
