HERKIMER, N.Y. -- Lots of kids checked out the "Arc Park" in Herkimer when it opened on Saturday, and it's not an average playground.
The recreational facility is designed for people with or without disabilities.
The $1.5 million project includes three playground areas, a pavilion, fitness trail, little league field and more.
"We really want this to be a very inclusive park, and that's really the bottom line. We're building community here and we want this to be a very inclusive park for everyone to enjoy," said Kevin Crosley, Arc Herkimer President and CEO.
It'll be open from dawn to dusk every day off of East German Street in Herkimer.
