AUSTIN, Texas — Monday marks the day Austin’s 11 splash pads open for the season, starting at 9 a.m.
A splash pad is an outdoor play area with sprinklers, fountains, nozzles or other devices that spray water.
If a splash pad isn’t working, residents are asked to call the city’s parks department so they can send a maintenance worker.
