BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Customers get their first look at expansion plans for Dash's Market in North Buffalo.
Owner Joseph Dash held a community meeting on the project Thursday night.
He plans to build a new two-story supermarket at the corner of Hertel and Starin next to the existing location that would more than double the store's current size. He says it will allow them to offer more.
"A vast increased variety of product, a multitude of different departments that they currently don't have in the existing store; a larger workforce, so more job opportunities, and a more central community environment," Dash said.
Dash says the existing store will stay open until the new store opens sometime next year.
He also bought a former bank across the street from the current store which will be used for administrative offices.
