WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A couple from Florida experiences an encounter of a lifetime with the largest fish known to swim the ocean, a whale shark.

Keith and Brittany Brock were at the end of a dive off of West Palm beach last Sunday when a huge whale shark gracefully passed by for nearly a full minute.

The divers say it happened in approximately 30 feet of water in a dive site known as "The Trench."

Whale sharks feed on plankton and are not known to pose threat to humans. They are classified as an endangered species.
