ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Michael Lynch one year ago was getting ready to graduate from Siena Catholic School. On Friday, people gathered at Siena to celebrate his life.
Lynch died Thursday in the arms of his family.
Lynch, 14 and a freshman at Irondequoit High School, was hit by a car the morning of March 30 while walking to school.
Hope for Michael didn't fade in the initial days after the crash, and the Siena Catholic Diocese has set up a fundraiser for the family to help pay for his younger brothers' education through this year and the next.
