GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Neighbors in Greensboro's historic Aycock neighborhood have cast their vote to rename their community to "Dunleath."

The name honors an estate built in the area back in the 1850s and its owner Robert P. Dick, who was a state senator and North Carolina Supreme Court Justice.

The decision follows the Guilford County Board of Education renaming Aycock Middle School this year.

Charles B. Aycock is a former North Carolina governor who supported white supremacy campaigns.
