Sargento Recalls Cheeses Due to Possible Listeria Con­t­a­m­i­nation

Sargento Foods is voluntarily recalling some of their cheese products due to possible listeria contamination.

The main products being recalled are

• Sargento Ultra Thing Sliced Longhorn Colby - UPC 4610000228
• Sargento Chef Blends - UPC 4610040041
• Sargento Sliced Colby-Jack Cheese - UPC 4610000109
• Sargento Sliced Pepper Jack Cheese - UPC 4610000108
• Sargento Chef Blends Shredded Taco Cheese - UPC 4610040002
• Sargento Off The Block Shredded Fine Cut Colby-Jack Cheese - UPC 4610040014
• Sargento Off The Block Shredded Fine Cut Cheddar Jack Cheese - UPC 4610040076

The cheeses were packaged in Sargento's Plymoth, Wis. location.

No illnesses have been reported, but listeria can cause fever, nausea and diarrhea.
