RALEIGH -- The threat for severe weather grows as Sunday comes to a close.

The most likely severe weather threat will be damaging straight-line winds; however, isolated tornadoes will also be possible.

Areas around the southeast coast are at an "enhanced" risk for stronger storms. Central North Carolina including Raleigh and Charlotte are under a "slight" risk. The Triad is considered under a "marginal" risk of severe weather.

The threat for severe weather diminishes after midnight with some lingering showers likely overnight.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers ending by evening.
