RALEIGH -- Ne-Yo is with her. The popular singer held a "Love Trumps Hate - Get Out The Vote" performance in Raleigh at the Ritz Tuesday night, hoping to drum up support for Hillary Clinton ahead of Election Day.

Fans at the event told us they appreciate the awareness that big names bring to early voting.

"One week away from the election, and having Ne-Yo here tonight, knowing that he's with her and he's encouraging a crowd to get out and early vote, it speaks volumes,” said Nervahana Crew, a Clinton supporter.

In response to Ne-Yo's visit, a North Carolina spokeswoman from the Republican national committee said  “Despite Ne-Yo’s best attempt to inspire young Tar Heel State voters in time for Election Day, no show can change the fact that millennial voters are ‘so sick’ of Hillary Clinton’s corruption.”

Both Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump are expected to appear in North Carolina on Thursday.

Details about Clinton's appearance have not been released.
