CHARLOTTE -- Neighbors who live where Keith Scott was shot and killed say police are not telling the truth about the 43-year-old's death.

CMPD says Officer Brentley Vinson shot and killed Scott because he had a gun, but neighbors and family say that's not true.

They said Scott had a book and was sitting in his car, waiting for his son to get home from school.

"The white cop with the bald head pulled up behind that man, blocked him into his parking space so he couldn't move, told him to 'Get out, put your hands up,' he got out, walked behind his truck with his hands up and the man shot him four times," said neighbor Taheshia Williams.

The ACLU of North Carolina is calling on CMPD to release the dash cam video from the shooting.
