BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A new cafe, media production station and 100 public computers are some of the highlights at UB's newly renovated Silverman Library.

The $7.2 million project is part of an ongoing effort to make Capen Hall the heart of UB's North Campus. UB says the library can hold almost 900 students.

"They access the world on their smart phones, on their tablets, on their iPads, anyway they can get it. They're able here to not only access information, but create information," said Austin Booth, UB vice provost for university libraries.

The library will resume its 24-hour schedule at the beginning of the new semester.
