SAN ANTONIO — U.S. News and World Report has ranked three Comal Independent School District high schools among the best in Texas.
Smithson Valley High School, Canyon Lake High School and Memorial Early College High School each earned a silver medal in the report released earlier this month.
Silver medal schools rank in the top 14 percent across the country.
The report is based on school performance, state-required tests and how they prepare students for college.
