DURHAM COUNTY, N.C. -- A man is accused of dragging his girlfriend with a car and then leading authorities on a high speed chase in Durham County.
Authorities say 33-year-old James Quick got into a fight with his girlfriend on Club Boulevard Wednesday morning.
They say when he drove off in her car, the woman was dragged and her foot was run over.
They say Quick then led the Highway Patrol on chase where speeds topped 100 miles per hour. The chase ended in a crash on Interstate 85 and Redwood Road.
Quick and the woman were both hurt. However, both are expected to survive.
Quick now faces a long list of charges including felony speeding to elude arrest.
No other vehicles were hit during the chase.
