KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- The state Department of Transportation wants to get the public's input on a proposed project on Big Mill Farm and Hopkins Roads in Kernersville.
The DOT held a public meeting last night where people who live in the area were able to give their thoughts about how a Business I-40 loop would affect them.
The project proposes widening and extending Big Mill Farm Road and widening Hopkins Road from Business 40/U.S. Highway 421 to West Mountain Street with a new interchange at business 40/U.S. Highway 421.
DOT officials say they'll continue to collect data through the summer of next year.
