Winston-Salem – Winston Salem State University is getting a boost in scholarship funding thanks to a grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services Heath Resources and Services Administration.
The school will receive $4. 2 million in nursing scholarships.
The money will be awarded over the next four years to full-time undergrad and graduate nursing students who meet the university's financial based criteria.
HBCU colleges has named the program number one among historically black universities in the nation.
