SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- After a loss on its first concert, the Onondaga County Comptroller and some county legislators say they want to see more financial records when it comes to the Lakeview Amphitheater.

Onondaga County Comptroller Bob Antonacci says the Miranda Lambert concert last September "lost more than $100,000."

Some in the county legislature are concerned about the finances.

"My primary concerns regard the taxpayers and protecting the tax payers' $50 million investment," Onondaga County legislator Kevin Holmquist said.

Antonacci says he hasn't obtained a copy of the contract between venue manager SMG and Live Nation, which sells the tickets.

Holmquist says there's not enough information available about expenses and revenues.

"I would like to know as soon as possible what are the expenses that the taxpayers are responsible for in the upcoming year and what are the revenues that we can expect to offset those expenses," said Holmquist.

Deputy County Executive Bill Fisher says the expense of producing a financial report after every concert would be "crazy."

He says venue manager SMG keeps track of budgetary matters.

"What the comptroller was doing by saying, 'oh we've had two concerts, there's a black hole somewhere,' Is like the New York Yankees after one spring training game being told by someone who has no idea how their business works, 'you're going to lose money this year,' " said Fisher.

Fisher says the county is still waiting from the state for a reimbursement of nearly $120,000 for the Miranda Lambert concert.
