THOMASVILLE, N.C. - Police say a man attacked a 58-year-old woman with a machete Sunday.
Timothy Chilton, 43, was charged with felony assault after police found the woman in the woods off Sedgehill Drive with a large cut on her face.
She was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. There is no word on her condition.
Police say they both lived in tents in the woods.
Chilton is currently in jail on $25,000 bond.
