GENEVA, N.Y. -- Family and friends are marking five years since their loved one was shot and killed.
A march, vigil and balloon launch were held on Saturday in remembrance of 33-year-old Corey Jackson.
Jackson was killed by a Geneva Police officer during a traffic stop back in 2011.
An Ontario County Grand Jury found the officer justifiable in his actions.
Family members said they are still fighting for answers.
"It doesn't get any better, you know they say that time heals all wounds, this is something that does not get any easier. Especially knowing that that way he got off, the whole thing was done less than 30 days. The way he was exonerated of his charges," said Maurice Jenkins, Corey's brother.
"How could you shoot someone in the back of the head and say it's a justifiable shooting and then nothings done about it. It's been five years, in different cities it's been taken care of in two in a half three years. What is Geneva doing,” said Gerald Nelson, Corey's father.
Corey's father wants to make sure that another family doesn't have to go through what their family has.
