NORTH CAROLINA – A Raleigh man who previously worked as Santa Claus and a magician at children’s parties has plead guilty to charges related to child pornography.
Leander Dewey Jones, 64, pleaded guilty one count of manufacturing child pornography.
Authorities were notified after Jones took his computer to a repair store and the technician found a folder containing pornography.
Investigators say Jones produced pornography of his two grandchildren.
Thousands of images were found on external hard drives in addition to images found on CDs and floppy discs. on his computer and two external hard drives. There were an additional 1,000 images found on CDs and floppy discs.
Jones will be sentenced in August and faces up to 30 years in prison.
