Four NC Restau­rants Named on List of Most Romantic Restau­rants in the US

NORTH CAROLINA -- Looking for a romantic restaurant for Valentine’s Day? You shouldn’t have to drive too far.

Four North Carolina restaurants have made OpenTable’s list of "2016’s 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in America."

Those restaurants are The Dining Room-Biltmore Estate in Asheville, The Fearrington House Restaurant in Pittsboro, The Restaurant at Gideon Ridge Inn in Blowing Rock and Second Empire Restaurant and Tavern in Raleigh.

All nationwide locations of The Melting Pot also made the list. The Melting Pot has six North Carolina locations in Huntersville, Charlotte, Durham, Greensboro, Raleigh and Wilmington.

According to OpenTable, the list was compiled from more than five million restaurant reviews from verified OpenTable diners in the time between December 2014 to December 2015.

In order to make the list, restaurants had to have an overall minimum score, a minimum number of qualifying reviews and a minimum percentage of reviewers listing the restaurants as “romantic.”
