SAN DIEGO -- The active shooter situation at the naval medical base in San Diego appears to be over after an intense couple of hours.
It all started with a Facebook post from base officials near 11:30 a.m. EST.
It said there was a report of an active shooter and all occupants are advised to run, hide or fight.
Base personnel went building to building search, but have so far not find any sign of a shooter or any shooting.
A recent post said the investigation is ongoing and that personnel should remain clear of that area.
