ALBION, N.Y. -- Two men are under arrest in Orleans County for kidnapping, but Albion Village Police are stressing to the public that the cases are unrelated despite a number of similarities.

In the first case, Christopher Rivers Junior, 19, of Albion is accused of approaching a couple and pulling a gun on them.

Police said when the male victim couldn't produce any cash, Rivers forced the two to go to an ATM in the village where the female victim withdrew $400 for him. Rivers faces several charges including kidnapping and robbery. He's in the county jail on no bail.

A similar set of circumstances for Andre Coley, 24, of Albion.

Village police said he repeatedly threatened a man during the course of two weeks, forcing him to the bank several times to withdraw cash. Police said Coley managed to get a hold of more than $8,000 before the victim called 911.

He's also charged with kidnapping and robbery. He's in the county jail on a $100,000 cash bail. Both he and Rivers will be back in court on Wednesday.
