American Atheists' 'Skip Church' Bill­boards Popping Up in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM -- A new controversial billboard may soon catch the eye of Winston-Salem drivers.

American Atheists has launched a series of billboards featuring Santa Claus urging people to skip church and "just be good for goodness' sake."

According to the organization, this year's billboard is a response to last year's billboard, which showed a child writing to Santa, saying all she wanted for Christmas was to skip church.

The billboards are in Winston-Salem and in the Colorado Springs area and will run through the month.
