Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines to Run for 5th Term

WINSTON-SALEM -- Winston-Salem Mayor Allen Joines is running for re-election to his 5th term.

The Democrat was first elected in 2001.

In announcing his re-election, Joines cited a number of accomplishments during his 14 years as mayor.

Those include rebuilding the city's economic base, job growth and establishing a 10 year plan to end homelessness.
