MACEDON, N.Y. -- A 22-year-old missing person case was at the center of a police investigation Monday in Macedon, Wayne County.

State Police searched in the woods behind a home on Weidrick Road in Macedon. Sources say it is in connection to the Sandra Sollie case.

Sollie disappeared in 1994 and was last seen alive at a shopping plaza in Macedon. Her purse was later found in a dumpster, and her wallet dumped on a street in the city of Rochester.

Police investigators say she was reportedly seven months pregnant at the time.

"She was going to have a baby shower, and it never happened," said Donna Neth.

For Neth, Sollie's sister, the last 22 years have been lived with a void.

"I feel in my heart that you've got to keep talking about it. You've got to keep going on. You can't give up," Neth said.

Troopers say they've searched this area before, near Sollie's former home.

"No new information was developed to lead us to this location, but certainly, we continue to search, we continue with our investigation until it's closed successfully," said Tpr. Mark O'Donnell, New York State Police.

Neth commended police for their ongoing efforts, as did a private investigator, who's been working on the case since the beginning. She hasn't given up hope that her sister will one day be found.

"I really want to find my sister. I've been praying every day, and I'm not going to give up."
