Sarah Rudlang is an Emmy award-winning news anchor and reporter who joined the Spectrum News 1 family in April 2021.
As a native Minnesotan, she’s excited to swap frigid snow storms for North Carolina’s beautiful beaches and mountains.
Previously, Sarah worked as a morning anchor in Fargo, ND, for four years. When she wasn’t setting her alarm at 11:30 p.m. to produce and anchor the morning show, she snuck out to shoot, write and edit stories.
Her passion for storytelling began when she was four years old, drafting up family newspapers in her small town of Pine River. Eventually, she got her first professional taste of journalism at her local newspaper, The Pine and Lakes Echo Journal.
The news bug bit Sarah hard, eventually leading her to WCCO-TV in Minneapolis where she helped a team of award-winning journalists chase down stories.
She loves meeting people and sharing the community’s stories! You can connect with her on social media on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and email sarah.rudlang@charter.com.
Sarah has a love/hate relationship with running – but a love-love relationship with food. When she isn’t working, you may find her running on area trails – or checking out local restaurants.
