This time last year, Tim and Ben found themselves dodging tear gas canisters and rocks while covering the protests and riots in Raleigh. A week later they were in Raeford for the North Carolina funeral of George Floyd.
This week, Tim catches up with some of the people he met and interviewed during this time. It includes a sheriff who helped plan the Floyd funeral and is demanding law enforcement change himself.
We'll try to reunite two people with very different backgrounds but found a lot of common ground while waiting in line to see Floyd. We'll also catch up with two young men who helped organize and lead marches in both Raleigh and Fayetteville. At the end of the day, we'll ask the question: Has anything changed?
Later, Tim and Ben will reflect on their own memories from that historic week.
