WORCESTER, Mass. - A $10,000 grant will help the Elder Services of Worcester area with their Tech Connect program.

The money will allow seniors to get an iPhone or iPad along with technical training to support their needs.

Students in the Massachusetts academy of Math & Science at WPI will teach them how to use the technology.

Mayor Joe Petty says this allows seniors to conduct tele-health and virtual visits with doctors, care managers, and family and friends.

The money came from a Spectrum digital education grant.  Spectrum is the parent company of Spectrum News.
