ST. LOUIS — From fresh produce and local vendors to learning about climate changes and sustainability, there are several events taking place in the St. Louis area, April 26-27.

St. Charles Farmers Market

The St. Charles Farmers Market opens for the season Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It will be located on Main Street, between Clark and Monroe.

Visitors can enjoy fresh produce, handmade goods, local vendors, a children’s entrepreneurship market and more.

The market will be open every Saturday through Nov. 29.

Tiny Artists Storytime

31art Gallery will host a “Tiny Artists Storytime!” event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free event is open to all children, which will include special guests from UMSL College of Education, storyteller stations, children’s books, coloring pages, a creation station and a raffle.

The art gallery also will have its Q1 Exhibit on display that features work from several artists. It’s free for all ages.

‘Ride the Cyclone'

Saint Louis University Theatre & Dance will present “Ride the Cyclone: The Musical,” Saturday at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The musical comedy tells the story of six teenagers, part of a Canadian chamber choir, who awake in limbo after riding on a roller coaster. A mechanical fortune teller gives each a chance to return to life.

Earth Day Festival

The annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival is Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Muny grounds in Forest Park.

This year’s theme is “Climate Hope” and the free event will feature vendors, sponsors and educational resources focused on solutions to climate changes.

The two-day event will have entertainment, special programming, sustainability awards and more.

SLSO

Emerging conductor, Ruth Reinhardt, will make her Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra debut in this weekend’s program titled “Radiant Warmth.”

The program will feature melodies of Dvořák’s Cello Concerto, performed by rising star Andrei Ioniță and “soulful darkness touches the SLSO’s strings in Bacewicz’s long-forgotten Concerto for Strings,” according to SLSO’s website.
