ST. LOUIS — All lanes on westbound Interstate 70, past Interstate 170, are back open after a truck struck a Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) vehicle, according to officials.

The truck hit a MoDOT vehicle’s attenuator, designed to protect workers and motorists in a work zone and mounted on the back of the vehicle, according to Jack Wang, senior communications specialist for MoDOT.

A MoDOT worker was not injured, he said.

Only two lanes on westbound I-70 are currently open.

The story will be updated as more information becomes available.
