DARDENNE PRAIRIE, Mo.— Longly anticipated upgrades to Kinetic Park in Saint Charles opened up on Monday, April 14, 2025, after over a year of renovations and construction.
Builders put the finishing touches on the new 40,000 square-foot, “universally designed,” adventure playground when Spectrum News visited the park on April 9, 2025. Onsite St. Charles County Parks employees said the initial opening date was pushed back due to early April storms slowing down construction. Kids may now explore the three interactive play towers connected by ropes and bridges, more climbing structures, swings, slides and spinners.
Aside from renovations to the exisiting building, pond and walkways, guests may enjoy the new 8,000-square-foot multi-use building. Inside the new facility is a 5,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor multi-use space, marked for three indoor pickleball courts, a climbing gym, an activity room, expanded restrooms, concessions and dining areas.
Previously, plans included an E-Sports arena but that is no longer included in the park's plan.
Two rentable shelters will be available for party planners.
Other St. Charles County parks are receiving upgrades and renovations too.
