ST. LOUIS — From sampling a variety of art classes to participating in the unofficial kickoff to the Cardinals baseball season, there are several events happening in the St. Louis area this weekend, Jan. 17-19.
Craft Alliance will host “Speed Date an Artist” Friday from 6-9 p.m. located at 5080 Delmar Boulevard.
Participants will have a chance to sample a variety of classes that the nonprofit offers, including blacksmithing, clay, fibers, glass, metals, print & paper and woodworking.
If they visit all studios, attendees can enter a raffle for a free workshop. The event is free and open to the public.

Atomic by Jamo will host two nights of bluegrass performances Friday and Saturday starting at 7 p.m. for its Shady Grove Winter Weekend event.
Friday night will feature Sicard Hollow with Mattie Schell Trio and Jesse Farrar, and Jason Scroggins. Saturday night will feature Goodnight, Texas and Armchair Boogie with ClusterPluck, plus a late night set from Pickin' Buds.

The 28th Winter Warm-Up at Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village is Saturday through Monday.
It is the unofficial kickoff to the Cardinals baseball season, featuring three days of family-friendly activities.
Some include a tour of the Cardinals Clubhouse, admission to the Cardinals Hall of Fame Museum, entertainment on the main stage, auctions, special presentations, autograph stations and more.
The event raises funds for Cardinals Care programs.

City Winery St. Louis presents Boozy Bingo Goes 90s Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at 3730 Foundry Way.
In addition to bingo, the event will feature 90s music, games, drinks and prizes. Attendees are encouraged to dress in 90s attire for a chance to win a best dressed prize.

HotMess Sports, an LGBTQ+ sports organization, will offer free, open play dodgeball at St. Louis Community College – Forest Park Sunday starting at 2 p.m.
Participants can look for the music and the HotMess Sports rainbow banner when they arrive.
