CLAYTON, Mo. – The St. Louis Artists’ Guild is seeking local artists between 15 and 19 years old and who reside within 150 miles of Clayton for their annual showcase.
The 2024 Young Artists showcase divied out over $2,000 in scholarship money and other monetary prizes.
This year's deadline for entry is Feb. 4, 2025.
Missouri native Emmet Merrill will be the juror for this year's showcase. He recieved a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2015 and a MFA from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville in 2020.
Merrill manages the lithography studio and Grafik House, a fine art printmaking studio in downtown St. Louis. His prints may be seen in the public collections of the Library of Congress, the New York Public Library, and the Bradbury Art Museum. Over the last few years, he's held solo exhibitions at Monaco USA, Buckham Gallery, Wonderfair, and the Sheldon Arts Center.
