The 40-page document begins with words from parks director Ryan Graham.

“One of the things I am most excited about for 2025 is the slew of new amenities opening up at St. Charles County Kinetic Park,” Graham said. “Over the past few years, we have tried to re-envision the park. These efforts include renaming and rebranding the park from the Youth Activity Park to Kinetic Park, and adding one of the largest pump tracks in North America and a bike skills course.”

Graham said the next phase of development will include new concession areas, indoor climbers, special event rooms, pickleball courts and a new playground with a splash pad.

Park hours are included in the guide and a glossary is included to help readers find their interests more efficiently by breaking it down into sections.

Sections include:

  • The “County Parks Map” shows where each park in the county is located

  • A “Parks Calendar” chronologically breaks down events and activities from January to April and includes information like the cancellation policy

  • “On-Demand Programs” such as summer camps are listed. Registration for summer camps begins Feb. 4, 2025

  • The “Community Events” section has a summary for each event and lists age restrictions, fees, locations, times and dates

  • “Nature and Outdoors” is similar to Community Events but for outdoor events

  • “Education and Enrichment” includes events that teach a skill or cover local history

  • “Athletics and Competitive” lists out the multitude of sports and physical activities the parks department is offering
