ST. LOUIS – Drivers will notice fewer lanes and possible delays as the Missouri Department of Transportation will close lanes on Interstate 64 and Interstate 70 for survey work connected to the Improve I-70 Project 2. The closures will go from Sunday through Thursday nights on I-64 in St. Charles and I-70 in St. Charles and Warren counties.
Starting the week of Dec. 8 in Warren County:
One eastbound and westbound I-70 lane between Route MM and Route 47 in Warrenton nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

On I-64 in St. Charles County, the following lane closures will occur the week of Dec. 8:

MODOT officials will monitor the closures before beginning construction on the eastern portion of I-70 between Warrenton and Wentzville. Construction for the Improve I-70 Project 2 is tentatively set to take place 2025-28.
There will soon be a third lane of I-70 across the state, since Gov. Mike Parson approved $2.8 billion for highway improvement. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
