ST. LOUIS – Warners’ Warm Up begins Oct. 21 and goes until Nov. 3.
The Kurt Warner First Things First Foundation, with partners throughout the area, is accepting new and gently used coats to distribute at various schools, shelters and social service centers.
The program kicked off in 2001 before a St. Louis Rams home game. It was a one-day drive that’s become a two-week community wide effort with over 120 drop off locations last year.
Since then, nearly 300,000 coats have been donated.
There are multiple ways to help:
People may donate coats to one of the partner locations
People can donate a “virtual coat,” $15 will purchase a new coat for someone in need
If you live outside the St. Louis area, you can donate a coat drive to Warners’ Warmup national partner, One Warm Coat
Among the partners, the new coat purchase partners include the Chapter of Saint Louis Credit Unions and Cardinals Care.
AM RAZEK Moving Systems and FedEx Office are helping with Drive Equipment and Supply.
Lion’s Choice, LookAfter Hair Company, FedEx Office, Chapter of the Saint Louis Credit Union, and the Southern Illinois Chapter of Making a Difference are collecting partners.
Last year, 6,840 coats and winter items from 128 locations were distributed to 85 Social Service agencies.
