ST. LOUIS — Residents along Interstate 44 in St. Louis City and County are invited to attend a public meeting Tuesday evening about the maintenance and replacement of 32 bridges along the corridor.

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will host the meeting at St. Louis Community College – Meramec from 4-6 p.m. in the lecture hall, according to a press release.

Meramec is located at 11333 Big Bend Road.

Attendees can express their concerns with MoDOT engineers of the more than 30 bridges on or over I-44 between Nebraska Avenue in St. Louis City and Fox Creek, west of Six Flags, in St. Louis County.

They also will hear plans to maintain, replace or rehabilitate the bridges. The work is expected to start in 2026, according to the press release.

There will be no formal presentation.

A second public meeting with the same information will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Missouri Foundation for Health, 4254 Vista Avenue, from 4-6 p.m.

For those who cannot attend the in-person meetings, they can view the information and fill out a survey form on MoDOT’s website
