ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department announced that the city is selling the Soccer Complex on Mueller Road to Sidik Nuhanovic, Invesco Group, LLC. 

The private firm, Invesco Group, will buy the complex and give it a more than $20 million makeover to attract league play and tournaments.

"This opportunity came at the right time and in the right place, the city of St. Charles," said Sidik Nuhanovic, owner of Invesco Group, LLC.

"We are excited to further develop the Soccer Complex into a premier facility and create a vibrant space that continues to fosters community engagement and healthy lifestyles for years to come. We believe in the power of sports to unite communities, build teams and create memorable experiences."

Among the proposed improvements:

  • 8 artificial turf soccer fields
  • A championship soccer field
  • Practice areas
  • Pickleball courts
  • An indoor facility featuring a full 11 V. 11 artificial turf soccer field and 4 futsal courts
  • Additional parking

The planned changes should attract visitors to St. Charles with “tournaments, league play, and practices fostering economic growth and attracting visitors to St. Charles,” according to St. Charles officials.

"We are thrilled to partner with Mr. Nuhanovic to bring this legacy vision to life," said Sandy Bichel, president of the St. Charles Parks and Recreation Board.

"This development enhances our community's recreational landscape and stimulates local business. It's an investment in the future of our city."

St. Charles officials said Nuhanovic has a "proven track record of successful developments that enrich communities while maintaining a commitment to quality and sustainability.”

The city went on to say Invesco Group is eager to listen to local officials, organizations and residents during the planning and implementation stages.

The sale is supposed to finalize by the end of the year and by fall 2025, the eight turf fields are likely to be installed.
